“No Scrumping”
Nelly Weston’s debut short “No Scrumping” is an intimate queer feminist folk-horror film about liberation, connection and consent.
Produced alongside Welsh-based production company Uncut Films Wales, the film received a 4 star review from “Reel Noise Magazine” (review can be read here).
It was also awarded Best Experimental Film at the Brecon Beacons Film Festival (July 2026), and was shortlisted for the Chapter Queer Film Prize (June 2026).
The film was also screened at Theatr Soar (May 2026), Horror Con UK (June 2026), Rough Cut - the Actor’s Workshop, Cardiff (June 2026), and Rhyller Thriller (July 2026)

“The Bits & Bobs of the Lesbian Look”
Lesbian fashion documentary interviewing a range of lesbians, diverse in age, lifestyle and background. The doc looks into “what makes a lesbian look” and celebrates queer history, individualism, and self-expression.
Directed by Carmen Paola alongside production company Stereotyped Dykes.
Screened at The Courts, Bristol (May 2026).
“Olive & Nadine Were Happy Here”
Nelly is currently in the process of writing her first feature film.
After an adventure in 1930s Europe that ends in tragedy, a middle-aged woman lands herself back in Cardiff, grieving and isolated with world war two imminent. An unexpected meeting with a glamorous stranger vomiting on a Rolls-Royce sets the wheels in motion of her finding her way back home.
Based on the Weston’s real great-great aunts and spanning the years 1912-1963, “Olive & Nadine…” tells the story of two women, lost and dejected after their two separate and complex lives. They meet at the start of the second world war and provide the other with a place to land.
